We want to make sure you choose the correct Airtag Disc for your setup. Here’s a quick overview of the different cases:
1. New customer
If you’re new to CLEW and purchasing the Independence binding, and you want to add an AirTag –
→ Choose the Independence AirTag Disc.

2. Existing Freedom customer adding AirTag Disc
If you already own a Freedom binding and want to upgrade it with an AirTag –
→ Choose the Freedom AirTag Disc.

3. Switching from Freedom to Independence – and already own a Freedom AirTag Disc
If you already own a Freedom AirTag Disc and are now switching to the Independence binding,
→ Yes, you can reuse your Freedom AirTag Disc – but you must also reuse the original screws and washers that came with that disc.

Important: We do not recommend using the new Independence screws (which come without washers) with the old Freedom AirTag Disc. This could result in the screws being driven too deep into the inserts of certain snowboards, potentially causing damage.
If you still choose to use the old AirTag Disc with the new mounting screws, you do so at your own risk. In many cases, it will work fine – but on boards with shorter insert depths, this could lead to small pressure marks on the base of the board.
